Club Nikita, backed by Padilla Fire Doors, sweeps the Summer Promotion Trophy with 17 medals
The Murcia-based team, sponsored by the fire door manufacturer Padilla, wraps up a thrilling season by finishing second in the medal count at the tournament organized by the Murcia Region Karate Federation and C.D. Nintai
Águilas was the final venue of the 2025–2026 season for the Nikita Karate Club, and its athletes couldn’t have ended the season on a more brilliant note. With 24 competitors on the tatami and 17 medals in their collection—9 gold, 3 silver, and 5 bronze— the team finished as runner-up in the medal count at the Summer Promotion Trophy organized by the Murcia Region Karate Federation and the Nintai Sports Club.
It was the kind of performance that leaves a lasting impression—and one that did not go unnoticed by Padilla Fire Doors, the Cartagena-based company specializing in fire-rated and high-security doors that bears the club’s name on its logo. The Murcia-based company, which operates in European markets such as Italy and France, has been supporting regional sports for years as part of its commitment to the community, and events like this Sunday’s in Águilas are the best proof that this investment is paying off.
“When you partner with a club, what you see in competition is exactly what you look for when choosing a sponsor: hard work, discipline, and results,” reads the philosophy behind this partnership. And boy, did it come true.
The tournament, the last on the regional calendar, brought together dozens of young karatekas from across the Region of Murcia. Nikita’s delegation was the club’s largest so far this season, and the team’s performance lived up to expectations: more than 70% of its representatives made it to the podium.
But the day didn’t end with the medal ceremony. The proximity to the sea, the July heat, and the family-like atmosphere that characterizes this club turned the afternoon into a festive gathering on the beach that capped off a season to remember. Families, athletes, and coaches spent hours playing games and enjoying each other’s company on the shore—a scene that captures something the numbers alone cannot convey: the spirit of a club that is growing without losing sight of what truly matters.
With summer just around the corner, Club Nikita—and Padilla Fire Doors along with it—is already looking ahead to the next season. There are plenty of reasons to do so with confidence.
