Puertas Padilla, an example of family leadership in the Herentia Awards 2025
The Murcian company receives the Business Family award for its trajectory, its commitment to innovation and its commitment to the economic development of the Region.
Murcia lived the great night of the family business. Nearly 400 personalities from the business, economic, political and military met this Friday night at the Finca Buenavista (El Palmar) to celebrate the XXVIII edition of the gala
In this edition, Salazones Garre received the Herentia Family Business of the Year Award; Puertas Padilla, the Business Family Award, and Pablo Albaladejo, from Gesa Mediación, the Legacy Award. For their part, the honorable mentions were awarded to entities celebrating important milestones in their trajectory, being granted to the City Council of Murcia, the Port Authority of Cartagena and Hefame.
The event was inaugurated by the president of Amefmur, José María Tortosa, who stressed that “Spain cannot be understood without the role of family businesses. Around 90% of the companies in our country respond to this model, which translates into the generation of 70% of private employment and a contribution of 57% to private GDP”. He also stressed that these figures “unequivocally reflect our enormous relevance and confirm the positive impact we bring to our original environment”.
In his speech, Tortosa argued that it is “essential that everyone understands that the Region must be built on respect and support for entrepreneurs. The anti-business culture has to be eradicated from schools. He also stressed that “there is no progress or prosperity possible without entrepreneurs, without understanding that we are the center of our system”.
To conclude, he congratulated the winners and pointed out that these awards “are a great opportunity to pay tribute to family businesses, to the excellence of shared work and to the values that make them an engine for the future of our Region”.
The Business Family Award was presented to Ginés Padilla, CEO of Padilla Doors, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of firewall and security solutions. With more than three decades of experience, the company has based its growth on innovation, internationalization and certified quality. The award was presented by the Minister of Enterprise, Employment and Social Economy, Marisa López, and the honorary president of AMEFMUR, Tomás Fuertes.
