Amefmur awards the Family Business Award to Puertas Padilla

The award will be presented at the Herentia Awards gala to be held this Friday, November 7, at Finca Buenavista.

The Murcian Association of Family Businesses (Amefmur) has awarded the Familia Empresaria award to Padilla Doors, one of Europe’s leading manufacturers of firewall and security solutions. With more than three decades of experience, the company has based its growth on innovation, internationalization and certified quality, consolidating itself as a benchmark in its sector.

The award will be presented during the Herentia Awards gala, to be held this Friday, November 7, at the Finca Buenavista, an event that distinguishes each year to entities, companies and business families noted for their trajectory, their generational succession and their contribution to the development of the Region of Murcia.

Padilla Doors, with factory in El Albujón (Cartagena) is in the hands of Ginés Padilla Pedreño through the company Innova Fire. It specializes in security doors, employs a staff of some 230 workers and last year achieved a turnover of 60.3 million euros, with a growth of 10% over the previous year.

Other awards

In this edition, the Legacy Award will go to Pablo Albaladejo, of Gesa Mediación, for his role in the generational continuity and modernization of a family business that has established itself as an example in the insurance industry.

The honorable mentions will recognize three institutions celebrating outstanding milestones in their history: the Port Authority of Cartagena, for its 150th anniversary; the City of Murcia, for the 1,200th anniversary of the founding of the city; and Hefame, for its 75 years of history.
