Puertas Padilla’s special technical doors are designed to meet the needs of hospitals, clinics and all types of healthcare environments, even in the most demanding locations.

We design and manufacture special doors that comply with healthcare regulations and match the aesthetics of each facility. A corridor, an ICU, an operating theatre or a radiology room each have very different needs, which is why we adapt every door to the space it is intended for.

Our hospital doors offer high antibacterial protection and can incorporate different fire-resistance ratings, from EI₂ 30 to EI₂ 120, as well as acoustic and thermal insulation in a single leaf.

Protective kick plates that reinforce the lower part of the door, the area most exposed to impacts from gurneys, trolleys or accidental knocks. They absorb impact and prevent the leaf from denting. Available as an optional accessory.

What regulations do Puertas Padilla's hospital doors comply with?

The self-extinguishing PVC finishes comply with regulation D.M.21.3.73/2.6.82 and 25.4.93 for hospital use. In addition, the hinges carry CE marking and, if the project requires it, the door can be certified with a fire-resistance rating of up to EI2 120 minutes.

What benefits does antibacterial paint offer in healthcare settings?

The powder-coated finish on our doors includes an antimicrobial additive that acts on contact, inhibiting the growth and reproduction of microorganisms on the treated surface. It is effective against both gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, as well as common moulds and fungi, achieving elimination rates of over 99% after 24 hours of exposure.

Its effectiveness remains stable over time, even in dirty conditions and in the presence of interfering substances, and does not degrade through conventional cleaning processes. This makes it especially suitable for healthcare environments with high standards of microbiological control.

Do antibacterial doors require special maintenance?

No. The PVC, antibacterial polyester RAL and AISI 304 stainless steel finishes are all designed to be cleaned with standard hospital disinfection products without losing their properties.

Can I combine fire resistance and acoustic insulation in the same door?

This is advisable in areas such as operating theatres or ICUs. Each combination of fire resistance, acoustic insulation and antibacterial finish must be validated by our Sales Department to confirm its technical feasibility.

Do you manufacture lead-lined doors for radiology rooms?

Yes, we manufacture doors with a custom radiological protection core, tailored to the equipment installed and the lead thickness required by the project.
