More than 200 people attended the ceremony for the third edition of the Murcia Diario Awards. The gala was held at the Nelva Hotel on 25 November, where Puertas Padilla was honoured with the MD Award for Internationalisation<\/strong> in recognition of its outstanding track record in the global market.<\/p>\n

Among those attending were some of the most prominent figures from the Region of Murcia\u2019s economic and business community, including Miguel \u00c1ngel Miralles Gonz\u00e1lez-Conde, First Vice-President of the Regional Assembly; Marcos Ortu\u00f1o, Regional Minister for the Presidency; Marisa L\u00f3pez, Regional Minister for Enterprise; Sara Rubira, Regional Minister for Agriculture; Joaqu\u00edn G\u00f3mez, Director of INFO; Jos\u00e9 Guill\u00e9n, Deputy Mayor of Murcia; Miguel L\u00f3pez Abad and Ram\u00f3n Avil\u00e9s, President and Secretary General of CROEM, respectively; Ana Correa, President of COEC; Miriam Fuertes, President of the Murcia Chamber of Commerce; and Jos\u00e9 Mar\u00eda G\u00f3mez Fuster, Director of the Port Authority of Cartagena, among others.<\/p>\n

The award was presented by Miguel L\u00f3pez Abad to the company\u2019s CEO, Gin\u00e9s Padilla. During his speech, he stated that receiving the award was \u201can honour\u201d and that it recognises the company\u2019s \u201ceffort\u201d. Puertas Padilla\u2019s international journey began in the 1990s and gained further momentum in 1994 with the founding of Puertas Padilla Portugal. The company now has 11 subsidiaries outside Spain and four production facilities, two of them located in the Region of Murcia.<\/p>\n

The company also markets its products in 60 countries. As Gin\u00e9s Padilla himself explained, its doors can be found \u201call over the world\u201d, including in Mecca and the Vatican, as well as in stadiums such as the Santiago Bernab\u00e9u and the home ground of Paris Saint-Germain, major airports and hotels, the Panama Canal and even Chernobyl, which has now become its \u201cmost emblematic\u201d project.<\/p>\n

Finally, the company\u2019s CEO highlighted the role played by the \u201c600 people who make up the group\u201d, as well as those \u201cwho are no longer with us\u201d, as everyone has contributed, in one way or another, to making Puertas Padilla what it is today.<\/p>\n

The award recognises Puertas Padilla\u2019s ability to lead the sector and establish itself as a global benchmark.<\/p>\n
