Puertas Padilla is once again setting its sights on South America. The Spanish manufacturer of fire doors, technical doors and high-security doors will take part in EXCON 2026 from 14 to 17 October, one of Peru\u2019s major construction industry events, held at the Centro de Exposiciones Jockey in Lima. The company, which operates internationally under the Padilla Fire Doors brand, will be located at stand A-102.<\/p>\n
The event comes at a key moment for the company. 85% of its production is already exported, placing international markets at the heart of its business and explaining much of the growth strategy Puertas Padilla is pursuing outside Spain.<\/p>\n
Within this international strategy, South America is gaining importance year after year. The company has its own structure in the region \u2014Padilla Colombia, based in Medell\u00edn\u2014 from where it manages part of its operations, and its doors have been installed for years in some of the continent\u2019s most renowned buildings and infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n
For Padilla Fire Doors, EXCON is more than just another trade fair on its commercial calendar: it is an opportunity to strengthen its position in Peru and build closer relationships with architects, engineering firms, construction companies, distributors and professionals in a market where it intends to continue growing. And this will not be the first time the company has attracted attention in Lima: at the previous edition, it won the award for Best Stand Design, a recognition that adds further expectations to its return.<\/p>\n
The company\u2019s participation in EXCON is backed by a track record that it has been building in Latin America for years.<\/p>\n
In Buenos Aires, its security doors are installed in the Teatro Col\u00f3n, one of Argentina\u2019s leading cultural landmarks and one of the world\u2019s most renowned opera houses. The project required the incorporation of protection without compromising the building\u2019s heritage and architectural character.<\/p>\n
In Santiago de Chile, its presence also extends to the healthcare sector: Puertas Padilla has supplied fire doors \u2014approved in accordance with Chilean regulations\u2014 for Hospital Cordillera and Hospital S\u00f3tero del R\u00edo, one of the country\u2019s major public healthcare centres.<\/p>\n
Its Latin American footprint also extends to major infrastructure projects. In Panama, the brand\u2019s doors are installed in the Panama Canal, one of the world\u2019s most important engineering projects, where special doors with demanding fire-resistance and watertightness requirements were needed.<\/p>\n
The figures help illustrate the scale of the company\u2019s international business: more than 500,000 fire doors and over 50,000 security doors manufactured, more than 500 professionals, nine operating sites worldwide and production capacity exceeding 100,000 square metres. Its products are approved in more than 60 countries, with testing carried out in over 15 international laboratories.<\/p>\n
This growth has taken Padilla Fire Doors products to a wide variety of locations: from Taipei 101 in Taiwan to the Chernobyl Sarcophagus, the Vatican Palaces, the Paris Saint-Germain training centre, the Santiago Bernab\u00e9u stadium and the Hungaroring Formula 1 circuit in Hungary. These projects reflect a strategy based not only on selling outside Spain, but also on adapting products, certifications and manufacturing processes to very different standards and markets.<\/p>\n
Against this backdrop, EXCON 2026 will mark a new stage in an internationalisation strategy that already accounts for the majority of the company\u2019s production. During the four days of the trade fair, the manufacturer will showcase its range of fire doors, technical doors and high-security doors in Lima and will meet with professionals and companies involved in new construction and infrastructure projects.<\/p>\n
Puertas Padilla also returns with the bar set high. A year ago, it left EXCON with the award for Best Stand Design. This October, it returns to Lima with an even more ambitious goal: to strengthen its presence in one of the markets it considers key to its next stage of growth.<\/p>\n
